A quick recovery checklist for the 24 hours after donating.
Recovery is fast if you follow these steps:
- Rest for 10–15 minutes at the centre.
- Drink extra fluids for the next 24 hours.
- Avoid heavy lifting or strenuous exercise today.
- Eat a salty snack to replenish.
- If you feel dizzy, lie down with legs raised.
Your body replaces the plasma in 24 hours and red cells in 4–6 weeks.
